Rango Review

A chameleon with no name (Johnny Depp) gets accidently lost into the Nevada desert. He comes along a wise old armadillo (Alfred Molina) who offers to tell him where a town called Dirt is. The chameleon walks through the desert and gets chased by an eagle. After a while he comes along a desert iguana called Beans (Isla Fisher) and she offers him a lift to the town. Strange things happen when he arrives at the town and a strange thing happens when their water supplies mysteriously disappears. It’s up to Sheriff Rango and his pals to save town’s water. Other voices were Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) Ned Beatty (Deliverance)  Ray Winstone (Indiana Jones and the crystal Skull) and Bill Nighy(“Don’t buy drugs kids  become a rock star and get them for free” Love Actually) .  I give the movie 4 stars because it was enjoyable and also had a lot of gun fights. The music was also very good, My favourite character was road kill a wise old armadillo Alfred Molina (The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Spiderman 2) I like this character because he didn’t appear in  the movie a lot just at beginning and the end. Kids under 13 under won’t like it because it is a little bit scary and has a lot of adult jokes. If you like talking animals, movie parades and Johnny Depp you will enjoy this movie

True Grit Review

The Coen Brothers director (No Country for Old Men) remakes an old classic True Grit that started Wayne and Glen Campbell. They remade it into a different story. The story takes place in a western, town when a young 14 year girl‘s father is murdered by a criminal called Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin) So the  young girl called Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld)  sets out to get  a US Marshall bounty hunter called Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges)to help. She will pay him to go out there and he accepts. Also comes along a Texas Ranger (Matt Damon) a tracker who can track people. So now you know the gang. The movie doesn’t have a lot of fights but if you like strong violence you will hate it. My favourite character was Rooster Cogburn because he is a crazy drunk old man with an eye patch. He made me laugh. I give these movie 4 stars because it’s my second favourite cowboy movie. My favourite cowboy is the Good the Bad and the Ugly. If you like cowboys, adventures or you think Jeff Bridges looks funny in a cowboy suit you will enjoy this movie.

Gnomeo and Juliet Review

The greatest love story ever told, starring...garden gnomes? In the upcoming "Gnomeo & Juliet," Shakespeare's revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. Directed by Kelly Asbury ("Shrek 2") and showcasing both classic and original songs by Elton John. Starring Voice talent of James McAvoy(Wanted),Emily Blunt(Wolfman) ,Michael Caine( Dark Knight), Maggie Smith( Harry Potter series) Matt Lucas( Little Britain ) Jason Statham( Transporter trilogy ). There are also a couple of cameos. When a red gnome and blue gnomes have been fight 100 years, something has to happen. When a red gnome and blue gnome fall in love, their trouble begins with a lonely pink flamingo, Terrafirminator V.O and a big gnome war. The music was fantastic, because it settled the scenes of the movie. Like if they were sad Elton john would play a sad song like (Say so much)   but if there were happy they would a happy song like (crocodile rock). My favourite character was William Shakespeare a statue of William Shakespeare who Gnomeo meets. Sir Patrick Stewart (Star Trek) does the voice to William Shakespeare the 3D was shocking noting came out to you. See it in 2D it’s probably better. I give it 4 stars. Some bits of the movie were kind corny but if you like action, romance and Gnomes you should see this film. reviewed by Jonty

127 Hours Review

·        The Famous story in 2003 was when Aaron Ralston a mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab and goes to desperate measures in order to survive has turned into a movie . Movie star James Franco (Spiderman Series) as Aaron Ralston. The story starts as Aaron goes  perpares to go rock climbing for the weekend. His trouble begins when a boulder wedges  on his hand and becomes psycho. He has memories of he’s life and begins to imagines strange things. I thought the movie was Bloody good.  I loved it from  start to the finish. The music made the scene perfect. There are only a few characters who appeared in the movie but James Franco was the best character. The movie didn’t get boring because James Franco did different things every morning to stay alive. This movie is not in 3D but it could of in some scene but we’ll leave it in 2D.There is one scene in the movie which is very disturbing . So young kids like 13 and younger might close their eyes and scream just like me. Danny Boyle The director (Slumdog Millionaire) did  a great job and this looked just as successful movie. I give the movie 5 stars because it was amazing I couldn’t stop l couldn’t stop blinking or look down. If you really enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire or you like adventurous type you would like this movie. It wasn’t my kind film but still enjoyed. Best film of 2011.
